CEO and Founder: Karlie Holcombe
MNK has been up and running for 2 years of service, starting in 2022. CEO and founder Karlie Holcombe was inspired by her brother Brenden, wanting to create not only a service but a community that enables everyone the best quality of life. Though every day can bring its shares of blessings and challenges, our dedicated team promise incredible rewards. Over the past 2 years, there have been trials that tested us and triumphs that have lifted us higher than we could have imagined. Yet, every step of this journey, with each individual client, staff member and member of the community, has deepened the passion and dedication of our team. Together throughout the community MNK Support Services is seen as more than just a business - MNK is a community rooted in care, respect and understanding.

Brenden
Brenden was my big brother. He was funny, kind, and stubborn as hell. He had a way of making people laugh without even trying, and he would have given the shirt off his back to help someone.
He grew up facing challenges most people will never understand. School wasn’t easy—not because he wasn’t smart, but because the world isn’t always built for people who are different. He straddled that line between disability and “normal,” never quite fitting neatly into either. He had great friends, but there were also times when he was left out, when he wasn’t invited, when people didn’t see past his disability.
But Brenden didn’t let that define him. He played soccer, junior rugby, and basketball. He was part of the Pittsworth High School cadets, pushing himself to be part of something bigger. He bowled. He joined disability support groups where he found community in woodworking, art, and gardening. He showed cattle at the Ekka and local shows, proud of what he could do. He finished Year 12 and held down a full-time job, proving time and time again that he was capable. He loved his footy, and he loved his family even more.
Brenden is why I do what I do. MNK Support Services exists because of him—because I know firsthand what it’s like to love someone with a disability, to watch them fight for the same chances everyone else gets. I know what it’s like to see potential overlooked, to see someone struggle to find where they belong.
At MNK, we don’t just provide support—we fight for inclusion, for opportunity, for the little things that make a person feel valued. Because no one should have to feel like they don’t belong. Brenden deserved that. And so does every person we support.
Everything we do is for people like Brenden—people who just need a chance to show the world what they’re capable of.
