As part of our second monthly coffee catch-up and in recognition of Dementia Awareness Month, we warmly invite you to join us for a relaxing picnic at Queens Park on Saturday, October 12th. Lunch will begin at 12:30 PM.
To help raise awareness, we encourage everyone to wear something purple - the official colour of Dementia Awareness.
Did you know that in 2024 there were around 425,000 Australians living with dementia, and that number is expected to nearly double by 2054 if no major interventions are made?
Bringing attention to dementia is more important than ever - awareness leads to understanding, support, and early intervention.
Please feel free to bring a small plate to share, and enjoy some great company, good food, and (hopefully) plenty of sunshine.
